A selection of resources used on CLPE’s Phonics course

CLPE’s phonics course, Phonics Within a Rich Reading Curriculum, is proving popular with schools taking advantage of the matched-funding available.

The course sees teachers from a number of schools coming together in a highly interactive session led by our inspiring and energetic trainers.

According to Ofsted in October 2011 ‘A creative approach to teaching phonics works particularly well’ and CLPE wholly share this sentiment during their training!

Techniques such as reading aloud and rhyme and song are shared, with participants using instruments and children’s books to understand how to teach phonics through increasing childrens pleasure in books.
